Allan Joseph Cribbins, III, MD
Allan Joseph Cribbins earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Lafayette College with honors. He then attended medical school at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine, where he graduated AOA (medical honor society) and won the Dr. J. Behan Prize for Outstanding Student in Surgery. After completing his residency at The McGaw Medical Center of Norwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 2000, winning The Harold L. Method award, he joined Dr Hamn in private practice specializing in bariatric, general and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Cribbins is certified by the Texas State Board and National Boards of Medical Examiners as well as the American Board of Surgeons. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society for Bariatric Surgery and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Nirmal S. Jayaseelan, M.D., F.A.C.S.
grew up in Lubbock, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s
degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University. After
a short career as a systems engineer he went to medical school
at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
He obtained Honors in Surgical Research
for a study on shock under Dr. Tom Shires.
Dr. Jay then completed his General Surgery
Residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. He has been trained
by Dr. Don Trunkey (world famous trauma surgeon), Dr. Lee Swanstrom
(President of SAGES, a laparoscopic society), and Dr. John Porter
(editor of the Yearbook of Vascular Surgery).
Currently, Dr. Jay is a busy general and vascular
surgeon at Medical City Dallas. He is one of the most experienced out patient lap band surgeons in the nation. He has performed over 1200 lap band® operations.

Dr. Robert Davis, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Robert Davis attended the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and graduated in 1963. He pursued his post-graduate education in London & Edinburgh in Great Britain, New York, Galveston and Houston. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1973 and recertified in 1987 & 1997. He has written many scientific papers and made presentations at scientific meetings. He is a member of several medical and surgical societies and has been awarded certificates by the American Medical Association for continuing education.
Robert is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and deputy chief of the department of surgery at the Methodist Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He has given many presentations and published scientific papers. Dr. Davis was the chairman of the bariatric surgery committee at Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Garth Davis, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Garth Davis graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas in Austin where he was the Student Government President. He was also awarded as the most outstanding student at UT. He went on to Medical School at Baylor College of Medicine and graduated in the top 10% of his class, and was inducted to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Garth completed his surgical residency at the prestigious University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he was elected as to the position of chief administrative resident. While in Michigan, he had extensive experience in general surgical disciplines. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He has attended many post-graduate courses including laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He has given several invited lectures on the subject of Bariatric Surgery.
Garth has had extensive training in laparoscopic surgery and has studied the creation of a full service integrated weight loss center. He has specialized in bariatric surgery and is the Medical Director of the Weight Loss Program at the Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Robert Marvin, M.D.
Dr. Robert Marvin is a Board Certified General Surgeon practicing in Houston. He has additional certification in Surgical Critical Care, and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
Dr. Marvin is 41 years old. He earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California in 1985, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to complete a MDCM at McGill University Medical School in Montreal in 1989. Dr. Marvin then did his surgical training at the University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center from 1989 through 1994. He was made Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. In 1996, he came to Houston where he completed a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care. After his Fellowship he was asked to stay on faculty at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School were he attended in General and Trauma surgery from 1996 until 2000. Dr. Marvin left the school to start a General Surgery Private Practice in September 2000.
Dr. Marvin did additional training in advanced Bariatric Surgery in 1998 at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City. He has had an active practice in primarily Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass procedures since 2002, and to date he has performed approximately 120 such procedures. Dr. Marvin recently was accepted for training in placement of the Adjustable Laparoscopic Band System, and completed the course in October 2004. He also performs revision of bariatric procedures on selected patients. |
